No, I haven’t abandoned the blog.

I thought I’d let you know that I haven’t abandoned the blog. I have been working some long hours and haven’t had a chance to add to it lately, but will make a point of doing so within the next few days, and probably tomorrow.

I have a couple of emails that I could get to, and a book that I’ve read but haven’t reviewed yet – An Unlit Path, by Deborah L. Hannah, another that I was in the process of reading until I mislaid it somewhere, and Dan Hughes’ new book which just arrived today – Attachment-Focused Parenting.

    I just came across your site and want to thank you from the bottom of my heart for the information. Our oldest adopted daughter is a RAD child and we thought we were just crazy, bad parents because we couldn’t understand what was going on. We have done a lot of personal education regarding RAD and your site provides some much needed validation for us and what we have been through. I only wish others understood the pain and trauma this places on a family. May God bless you for this service to us struggling parents out here.

    Thank you very much for the feedback. That’s exactly the reason we put up the site to begin with. Well, that and the fact that I learn better when I’m putting things in writing.

    One of the tragedies in parenting children with reactive attachment disorder is that, while you are doing one of the most heroic things that you’ll ever do in your lifetime, so many of those around you are sure to be critical of everything you do, and all from a perspective of not having a clue.

    I am new here and forgive me. How do i write in a question
    to you in hopes of getting an answer here or posted here?

    I do not see how to participate .. Silly me…
